does this camera put a date stamp on the photos null

sorry Bill, ignore my pics and my answer , it was for a different camera. I hope you get the right answer for the camera you are asking about

not automatically. Mine is off, but there is a write date on/off in the menu under the 2nd Custom operations tab, 10/10 . I turned it on to see and yes it does write it then.
