In your case, I believe you would just need to look for the EF lens. RF lenses are not compatible on the older version EF bodies.

The EF adapter(s) is/are for adapting older EF lenses to the newer RF mount cameras, not the other way around. The reason for this is too complicated to explain here, but trust me that it involves a lot of math and physics. The lens you are looking for is the Canon EF 35mm f/2. It’s designed for the EF mount. It is a stop slower but f/2 is still considered fast for this focal length and price point.
