Size, shape, features, price, types of USB connection used are all different between the two. The older CP1300 has a strip of buttons on top of the printer, it has a movable screen allowing you to change the viewing angle, it uses a USB 2.0 Type-A connector. Both use the same ribbon and paper options. There is a small premium for the Canon Selphy CP1500. The Canon Selphy CP1300 has a lower price. Both the Canon Selphy CP1500 and the Canon Selphy CP1300 have some of the same incredible features, like the same connection with Wi-Fi, SD card, and USB port; the same compatible ink and paper; the same 1.9-pound weight; and similar menus, among many other similarities. The Canon Selphy CP1300 comes equipped with a USB Type-A port, while the Canon Selphy CP1500 comes with a USB Type-C connector. The Canon Selphy CP1300 includes a greater number of additional buttons that provide direct access to a greater number of functionalities, whereas the Canon Selphy CP1500 has a smaller number of buttons. The screen on the Canon Selphy CP1300 is adjustable, allowing you to raise it and adjust it so that you have a better angle of view. In contrast, the screen on the Canon Selphy CP1500 is fixed. On the Canon Selphy CP1300, you had buttons to zoom in and out, which were quite helpful, but the Canon Selphy CP1500 does not have these choices. The LCD display on the Canon Selphy CP1500 measures 3.5 inches, whereas the display on the Canon Selphy CP1300 measures 3.2 inches. The Canon Selphy CP1500 is 9.2 inches by 8.7 inches by 4.9 inches, while the Canon Selphy CP1300 measures 5.4 inches by 7.1 inches by 2.5 inches. I hope this helps, FunFractals
