• I think it can but I'm too lazy to look up the manual. For me, I simply remove the SD card and play back the scenes thru my blu ray player or attach the SD card to USB to transfer the video to an external SSD. BTW, I use a Samsung T7 1 terabyte capacity and has a 1050 MBPS transfer rate SSD. I skip the hard drive. Fortunately, I do have 2 free 3.0 USB ports available.

• Yes, video is originally stored on a memory card in the camera, from which you can copy to your computer and/or an external storage device.
