You can find the 3d version on blu ray through amazon and it will play on US players

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think it comes down to cost. Not many TVs do 3D anymore and the 3D format wasn’t as big a seller as they thought. It’s something to experience in a theater, but the mass public doesn’t care about it for home use. It is what it is.

Amazon.co.uk has them available immediately and they've been releasing them like that for years now. Usually after a few weeks/months AmazonPrime will have them available as well. Every Disney movie and most other major releases should be region free!
