• I can't speak for AlienWear, but I can tell you this easily holds my HP 17" laptop. The interior cavity measures 18"x13"x2.75". It can also be adjusted by use of a Velcro-anchored pad. This case works well for my light-duty requirements, however I would not recommend it for rough use, such as frequent trips through the airport. There's just not enough padding.

• @Derrick - Yes, the Case Logic VNC218 Laptop case is compatible with laptops with 17"-18.4" screens, and will for the Dell Alienware 17.3" R4 laptop. The case has adjustable dividers to accommodate a variety of laptop sizes. Enjoy.
