• Both, it is made of some sort of silicone like material, that is very thick and tight to the case, the top of the case, flips over, you can see the ridges in the image..,,, so that you can pull out the airpods,, I have not taken the charging case out of the silicone case, since the purchase.. They have never fallen out. It's pretty cool.
