• The phone does not actually connect to the scope. You put the phone in the cradle and run a program and it helps you find objects to look at and then it shows you where to point the telescope

• Yes, you can use your Samsung a32 with the StarSense Explorer app to locate celestial objects. When you are not using the phone and app to locate objects, you can use the phone's camera to snap photos when held up to the telescope's eyepiece.
