• Maybe 10 feet. I have mine at the back of the garage. I don't believe it has to be that close to the hub it has to be close the the door opener. I think it said 4 feet from the opener.

• 20 cm (8in.) distance is maintained between users/bystanders and device. It sure if this is what your looking for but it’s all the instructions got. There is nothing on the distance you can place the sensor from hub.
