Electric part does separate. The lid stays on only flips up.

No the pitcher is not dishwasher safe and is labeled not to immerse in water. The pitcher and electric coil are separate however it cannot be dissembled. (lid does not come off)

I would not put this in the dishwasher. The base (electrical components) does not separate from the rest of the unit. 

The lid does not come off completely.

The carafe can be put in the dishwasher. The lid can come off completely. The heating unit is separate.

No, it's not dishwasher safe. Even though the electrical part is separate you cannot immerse it in water.

I don't know about dishwasher safe but I don't think so and would never put such a nice pot in a dishwasher. I only put water in the pot and boil it so there is no need for a dishwasher. I used soap and water before the first use but have never washed it again.
