• they do not come off of the thing with the timer and temp. it lifts off the base so it is hard to clean the heating elements while you try not to get what it is connected to wet

• The heating element comes off to clean, just make sure it's cooled off. The fryer easily comes apart for easy cleaning. It is a great product. Highly recommend people buy this
