“This Black RJ-38-2D model is what I want and Best Buy says it is in stock, but it also says it is sold and shipped by Chefman Direct and the Chefman website says they are out of stock on the -2D model but plenty in stock on the 2T, what will ship?”

Best Buy and Chefman.com do have their own separate shipping facilities and inventory. It is not unusual for an item to be sold out on one website and available on another.
