• If you don't have WiFi your Chromecast will not work. Unless you use your phones hotspot. Which will eat through your data very quickly.

• The chromecast requires a working connection on a WiFi network. Typically home WiFi is supported by a router with a permanent connection to a cable/fiber optic connection. It’s possible you could run it off of a mobile hotspot from your phone, but that would mean your phone is constantly using data and that can get expensive.
