“I have a non smart TV with a TV provider. By using Chromecast with Google, will it interfere with my existing TV service? I just started streaming on my phone and laptop by adding apps, but unable to on my 12 year old TV which still works fine.”

Most tvs have three out ports.You can put different devices on these ports with selective channels.If your old tv is analog go to ebay and buy a $10.00 analog to digetal converter and hook it to one of the unsed tv ports.

The box of your TV service provider will be on a different source input from your Chromecast.
