“What number blue tooth is this? I have a ClearSounds transmitter that is about two years old and is a 2.1 I believe. My old LG ear buds pair fine but I have tried the new ones and they won't pair. Can some tell me why? Is the new ClearSounds different?”

The Bluetooth version of the Q-Link is Version 2.1 and it transmits with the A2DP Bluetooth Profile. As long as your earbuds have the A2DP Profile, they should be compatible for pairing and connecting. Check your earbuds specs to be sure they use the A2DP Profile. Also, make sure when you are attempting to pair and connect, that your other Bluetooth devices (like your cell phone) have the Bluetooth turned off, especially if you have paired your earbuds with your cell phone already.
