How many SATA drives can be used inside the case null

3 easily. There are spot on the opposite side of the motherboard to hang 3 SATA SSDs on to. Then they give you 3 rails for HDDs to place at the bottom in front of the PSU but hidden by the non-removable PSU shroud.
