Does this pick up any police station channels? null

It might pick up some small town analog police and fire transmissions, but most every public service agency now is on a digital trunking system. You'd need a scanner/radio that can pick up the county's digital trunking signals, which means you'd need a high-dollar scanner that specifically mentions "digital" and "trunking." Hope this helps.
