• Certain vehicles behave this way, always leaving power on to the outlet. Some will turn the outlet off after several minutes with the ignition off. For vehicles with always on power to the outlet, Road Scout has an Auto Power setting which will automatically turn the detector off after inactivity for the set amount of time (default = 4 hours). You can change this to 1, 2 or 8 hours.
