QuestionWill the dash cam start recording due to movement or impact when parked?

- Answer It is always recording. When the card fills up, then it overwrites the oldest video with the newest. When an impact is detected, it locks the video file so that it is not overwrited.

- Answer Road Scout does not have a rear camera. It only has a forward facing camera.

- Answer Up to 32GB cards. For the tech-savvy: larger than 32GB cards can be used in Road Scout if they are formatted with FAT32. Note that the SD card must be class 10 or better.

QuestionMy middle display screen works fine when i start it but as soon as it boots up my middle display screen turns dark, i believe it works fine and records because i cant still hear the radar, if i go to the menu the screen turns back on like normal

- Answer It sounds like it is in dark brightness mode. Repeatedly press the BRT button to cycle through the display brightness modes. QuestionIs there a way to mark a video file to be protected so it isn’t overwritten?

- Answer Absolutely Press and hold the Mark button. The current video file being recorded will then be locked so that it is not overwritten.

QuestionI am unable to download to that default file path that app created. Customer support told me that he downloaded another, non Cobra or Escort file managment app for it to work. Junk for file downloads. So how does this work for downloads?

QuestionMy device runs perfectly however when i went to plug my card into a com[uter there were no recorded clips. I have all of my settings set correctly. Any ideas?

- Answer If recording is enabled (there will be a red dot on the display) then there is an issue with your Road Scout. For further assistance contact us at 800-543-1608. If recording is not enabled then enter the settings menu and enable it. To enter the menu, hold the SEN and BRT buttons. Once in the menu, rotate the dial to change the setting and press MARK tp select.

- Answer You can set up you camera to di a rolling loop on the SD card. From your phone it starts recording the time you press record.
