“My phone (along with most smartphones I know of) can only connect to one bluetooth device at a time. How do I connect the this to my phone and still connect my phone to my car(for phone calls and listening to music). Not sure what I'm missing here? thanks”

most smartphones can connect to multiple devices at a time. obviously it depends on what you have but for example i have an iphones and can connect to airpods, apple watch, my car, and radar all at the same time with no issues
