Will this work on a 2018 bmw 330i x drive automatic? null

I doubt it. BMW and Mercedes use a specific iDatalink (iDataStart) remote start unit. Been waiting for it to go onsale for awhile. I have installed four of the CompuStart units on various cars of mine and absolutely love them. Especially the use of factory remote and programming to pressing the lock button three times to start. The LTE Drone kit option is even better. Operate with the Drone app and the tracking of teen drivers. Still, just wow!

I honestly don't know. They have a guide that will let you know what car make and model is compatible with this unit.
