I can’t speak for your specific vehicle, but I have this installed in two of mine and they both still need the original fob to actually drive. In other words, this remote start will do just that, but I can’t drive away without the original fob. Good news is this system works with many original fobs so I don’t even use the ones that came with this set. On the original fob, there is a button sequence to start the vehicle. Lock, lock, lock. Or lock, unlock, lock.
