“Any idea why it won't turn on after installing the battery correctly and turning the bottom in the correct direction? This is the 2nd one I've bought and both won't work. I don't get it!”

Yea put a piece of aluminum foil so the circuit completes. I put a doubled over piece of foil in the bottom under where the battery sits and it works perfectly now.
