“The projector will work fine for 10mins then the light goes out and there’s no picture but the sound still plays the show. After about 10-20mins the light comes back on and it works again. Not sure what the issue is. Any idea of why it would do this?”

It shouldn't happen. I bought this projector and used it all day and had no issues. You should exchange it for another. I think you have a defective projector.
