“Is this required to control specifically the RGB part of the new ML Elite RGB Fans or RGB Corsair Fans in general? I'm not worried about Fan Speeds, just the RGB Control.”

If you bought a 3 pack you can plug 6 fans into the lighting node core then plug usb into motherboard & use icue to control rgb.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you get the ML fan kit that has the Lighting Node Core, then no, you do not need this to control the RGB on the fans. The Lighting Node Core, however, only controls the RGB and not the fan speed, so if you want to control the fan speed then you need this. Also, this will work on all of the different types of Corsair brand fans that are RGB (LL, ML, QL, and SP)

The Commander Core XT provides 6 RGB Fan ports and can be used to control the RGB lighting for our RGB fans.
