A:AnswerIt's really the option to let you design it as you think works best; some uber-geeks will test different methods by measuring the temperature of various components in various configurations.
In my opinion, since the CPU is using the most wattage (and hence generating the most heat) in my configurations, I like to exhaust the hot air directly out of the case, rather than pumping warmer air into the case and depending on other fans to exhaust.
Well, shoot, now that I'm thinking about it, my graphics card uses more wattage than my CPU. So perhaps my thought isn't that great after all (without experimental design).
TL;DR: It's the buyer's option! There is no right way to do it, as building a PC is part of the fun of exploring the options.
A:AnswerIt is best to stay in the iCue link series as you would need the command hub for anything older like an AF120 or LL 120 mm set. I have 3 older fans that came with my came that I am running as well as the starter kit I bought with my cooler.
