In this case, a warranty would be more efficient in dealing with this issue, but Corsair themselves said to me personally. That any damage caused by the misuse of their product (cosmetics/tweaks, a.k.a. soldering) , Therefore, wouldn't be covered by the waranty. So, in my humblest opinion, I would recommend to leave this problem to people who know how to use a soldering iron from personal experience. In other words, don't go out of your way to buy a soldering iron, just because you think it might be easy in your eyes.
