If you haven't overclocked, have latest drivers, bios/firmware and aren't running some unreasonable, irresponsible amount of hardware, I'd suggest moving straight toward a replacement. Especially if it's an out-of-the-box issue. I've never had one of these give me any excessive noise. Try tomshardware if you want to research and compare your experience further with others'. "Coil Whine" could be the query to get you headed in the right direction. Good luck and have fun with the opportunity to learn some new junk n stuff.
