Hello, mixing/matching any memory may give you issues, but the other memory module is being replaced then you'd just have to confirm compatibility within your system's manual's QVL as that lists modules/kits tested to be compatible. -Art

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.MSI states it accepts 16gb 2x8gb sticks however with some research ive seen several upgrade to 32gb 2x16gb sticks. I see no reason it wouldnt accept more ram either as the processor definitely accepts at least 32gb. That all said ensure the timing and mhz of both sticks you go with are the same otherwise you risk performance/compatibility issues. I hope this helps.
