Hi venkat, The kit that you're mentioning would work by itself in that system, although you could run into issues trying to use the kit with the memory that already came with the system. If you have any other questions please contact us: support.corsair.com

The slot directly next to the CPU should be empty. You can always go on crucial.com as well they show you a ram configurator that can help. Good luck!
