I did this exact idea and I regret it.... All my hardware fully supports 64Gb of ram @3600Mhz however, I could only run all 4 sticks at stock Mhz timings. When I enabled XMP I couldn't even get my Desktop to post. Even tried manually adjusting timings and voltage as well and I couldn't get a stable enough overclock past 3200Mhz. Both sets had same timings, voltage and versions of chips (Both are Samsung D-Die) I personally would recommend buying a set of factory confirmed compatible stick sets of either in 4×16gb or 2×32gb instead to avoid this issue all together.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, but depending on your motherboard, the speed of the memory will be adjusted to a slower speed. I have a Z390 MSI board and when I installed the the additional 32 gig in DIMM 1 slots the motherboard dropped the speed to 2133ghz. Only the DIMM 2 slots in my board are for the rated optimized speed of 3600.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Definitely, just take a quick peek on the manual for best configuration.. but Definitely possible
