“does the USB adapter make them work like wired headphones?”

The usb wire is for charging only. Wireless adapter has to be plugged in. You can use them while they are charging.

No the cord only keeps them charged, they're wireless only..

The headphones connect wirelessly via the USB transmitter, the included USB cable is only used for charging the headset, and will not transmit audio.

it comes with a cord to charge them and it is very long. and you can charge and use them at the same time.

Not sure what ya mean. The USB adapter makes it so you can use the wireless if you don’t have built in Bluetooth. My Pc is in my basement and with the adapter the headphones still work when I’m upstairs.
