A:Answernever had the afterglow but these have good sound and a good mic. they fit a little loose on my head but it doesnt bother me too much. i would buy them again.

A:AnswerNo difference in the functionality with the yellow jacket other than the usb extension cord included with the yellow j. The mic was improved from the original void wireless, and it is now excellent.
