If your MacBook Pro currently has a 2.5 SATA drive, then Yes, it will.

Thank you for reaching out and for your question. Yes, the 500GB Crucial MX500 will work perfectly in your mid 2012 MacBook Pro. Adding an SSD to your MacBook Pro should greatly increase the performance with faster boot up times as well as quicker response when navigating through the OS. You can also choose to either clone/copy everything from your old drive over to the new SSD before installing it in your system or just install the new SSD and do a fresh install of your OS of choice.
