It does not It has a large sticker that covers the chips if you plan on using a heat spreader or your motherboard has an integrated heat spreader you may want to use a heat gun or hair dryer to remove the sticker some rubbing alcohol to remove the adhesive left by the sticker. If you remove the sticker without using heat you may damage the surface of the IC chips
