• It will only be able to be used for PS4 games on PS5. They will benefit from faster load times with being an SSD but you will have to use an internal SSD for extra storage for PS5 games

Regarding your query, we would like to inform you that the X6 SSD is an external portable drive which needs to be connected to the USB port of the system so that you can access that drive for storage purpose. Hence the part will be compatible as there will be USB ports available in the PS5 system. Regards.
