Mine was defaulted to reporting in every 1 minute, so I changed mine to every 10 minutes, and that works great for me. Mine has been operating for 2 months now on a single charge and the battery charge indicator shows it still has a full battery.

At the fastest reporting interval, the device will need to be recharged every 3 to 6 months. At the slowest reporting interval the device can run up to one year on a single charge.
