• That is an extremely good question. I am now down to shopping only microwaves with best buy's protection plan in order to ensure that I get at LEAST 4 years out of a new one. They used to come with the assumption of 20 or 30 years.

• I already had the 24 mo. Best Buy protection plan. I don’t usually purchase protection plans on lower cost items as it is not cost effective.
