Hello, I believe the difference between sorbet, ice cream and gelato is the temperature. I plan on trying to make spumoni and pistachio gelato so I hope it does. If I had to guess, I would say that yes this would make gelato if you can find or have a recipe and freeze it at the appropriate temperature. Good luck.
