• You can, but the back of the switch is only plastic. Mine snapped off when I turned the timer off. I've tried gluing it, but it broke again. It doesn't look like Cuisinart sells replacements, so I'm currently looking for another way to fix this weak point in an otherwise great appliance.

• Yes, just carefully turn the knob back. It should ding but if not don't worry, it will only run a few seconds or you can leave the door open until it dings.

• ive heard the timer switch breaks and to let the timer finish the cycle on its own. So, if you want to stop the cooking just unplug it , the timer will continue to work until it finishes and will ding then. this is on the toa-60 which the control is not electronic.
