“Why did it only give me 8 cups? I filled it to the max of 12 cups. I paid $145 for it to pour out 8 cups?? This makes no sense. I did not push the 1-4 button as I wanted the full amount. If I hadn't used the glass carafe I wouldn't have noticed.”

makes twelve 5 oz "cups". Yeah I know that a cup is 8oz however cuisinart says coffee cups are only 5oz. So if you fill to the 12 cup mark you'll get 60oz of coffee (12x5). As you discovered 60oz of coffee is only 7.5 "real 8 oz cups" (60/8=7.5). Strange to say the least!!!!
