“Why does it say it's 19.7" deep and 16.7" wide when it's clearly wider than it is deep? It's extremely annoying that it is so difficult to get proper dimensions on these items.”

Keep in mind that you have the handle sticking out up front and you need space behind it for the cord. At my house, it is 17" from the wall to the front of the handle.
