• I change this every 6 months. I don't know what is recommended.

• In the operating manual that came with mine, the manufacture recommends changing the filter every two months.

• I would change it every 3 months. Be careful with this coffee maker, it may start leaking. We are on our 2nd one and it is leaking. I'm going out to buy a new one now, it WILL be a different brand. Good luck!
