Hello Nannie, There is a function set up guide that comes with the unit or can be found on the product page at the CyberPower Systems Website. You can mute the beeping by quickly pushing the power button twice, it will beep twice to let you know it's muted.

Havent ran into this issue yet. But i know on the "powerpanel" software you can "Disable alarms at all times" and maybe "Enable PowerPanelnotification sounds". This is under the settings menu on the software. Hopefully thats what you're after.
