• Yes. The UPS is rated to 900w, so it has plenty of power. Also, it would be rare that your computer would ever use 550w. Most computers, under light use or idle pull less than 100w. You do have to be careful if plugging other devices in so you don't overload it. it does have an LCD screen that will show you the current load.

• The instruction sheet covers the LX1100G, LS1325GU, and the LX1500GU. The smallest of these units will cover a power supply up to. 660W, so YES, the unit will be ok for a PC with a 550 Watt power supply The difference will be how long the unit can power the PC while the power is off.
