Hello, The function setup guide provides details on how to silence the alarm. The only alarm that cannot be disabled is an overload tone. If you need assistance with the settings, please reach out to our support team at 877-297-6937 and we'd be happy to assist. Thank you for submitting your question!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same problem with one of my units, currently I have 4 of them. Remember that these are designed to supply power to the computer so you can safely save your work and power the computer off. I have tried to power off everything attached to the battery side of the UPS unit. Then you may be able to shut the unit off, not guaranteed. 2 of the UPS units I have do not work correctly because at the slightest power blip they shut off. I only keep them to provide clean electricity for the equipment plugged into them. The other 2 are used for computer protection and work correctly. I have a 5th APC unit that protects my Modem and phone system (Internet) it stays on 24/7. The others I try to cycle off when the computers shut down. So, I feel the only way to stop the unit beeping, is to power off the battery side of the unit off with the power switch, hold until 2 beeps. But, I find this is hard to do with the unit running under battery power. I hate to say this, but remember this is an electro-mechanical device and subject to "Murphy's Law"! Good Luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The UPS alarm signal is designed to warn you when it is on battery. Soon as power is restored the alarm goes off and shows that it is functioning properly. These UPS units are only sized for basically a systematic shutdown/brown outs not for powering loads for long periods of time. If you look through the UPS display it will show you how much battery time is available and you should turn off before battery is depleted. If the alarm signal does not turn off when power is restored there are other issues related to the UPS internally. Dale
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The alarm going off is new to me all I can think of is it's over loaded and it's alerting you. It will only runs the units plugged in for 30 minutes, enough time to shut them down. That's all there used for.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The instructions for the UPS device contain clear directions to mute the beep. As with all user guides and instruction booklets, you should read the complete directions before you plug in the device.
