I would say that the 120gb SSD and the 8700k over the 7700k would be worth it. As a gamer better processor speeds are always wanted. The 8700k will also help the 1080ti achieve better FPS rates at a slight difference. The 8700k will also be relevant longer than the 7700k. If you have the money I would recommend paying the extra 120.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To help clarify the models. This PC will be almost identical to SLC8842OPT/SKU 6128515. The primary difference is the SLC8842OPT is without the SSD but instead has 32GB Intel Optane Memory which is considered as a Hard Drive Accelerator. Those models ending with "OPT" will have a hard drive accelerator instead of an SSD. Please feel free to call us if you have any other questions regarding this PC or or any of our PC's that feature Intel Optane memory at 1.800.707.0393.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The i7-8700 also has 2 more cores for 6 cores (12 virtual processors). The 7700 has 4 cores. That alone is worth the $120 if you have the money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That's up to you. I went for the 8th Gen because it has 6 cores as opposed to the 4 core 7th Gen. I plan to do some 4k video processing and so it probably will make a big difference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.more likely because this one has i7 8700k and 200GB SSD. that one does not.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The SKU: 6128515 is the desktop that is identical w/o the SSD for the same price. Kinda wierd.
