I looked at the mounting cage and it states that it can handle a 3.5 drive or two 2.5 inch ssd drives. The 3.5 inch drive slot is occupied by the included HDD so no room for another. Even though the specs say that there are two 3.5 bays and two 2.5 inch bays. I spoke to CyborPowerPC support (Henry), he tried telling me that the two M2 slots on the motherboard counted, that is BS! He then told me that they were not responsible for the ad on BestBuy
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Best I can figure is you remove the two screws from the bottom of the case and the HDD mounting rack will slide out after disconnecting the cables. It appears as if you can remove the current HDD and the attach it to the top of the rack by putting screws from inside the rack into the bottom of your new HDD. You will need a SATA data cable and then plug it into the motherboard. There should be an unused power cable from the power supply you can use. I have to say that this is a guess on my part, I am going to try it next week. Wish we got some kind of documentation about the case or at least a brand name to work with. Very disappointed because of the lack of documentation.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can add additional drives though you will need to purchase wiring harness and mounting hardware. Also be sure to check motherboard specs before choosing your additional drive to be sure it can in fact communicate and drive another hard drive. There are several "banks" already set up in this rig for storage and memory, be sure to research the best bank for what type of files, etc you are planning on holding. Some games or files will rack up your space if placed in certain banks. Hope this helps!
