“Can the gamer lights be disabled easily and permanently so they do not turn on at start up?”

• Yes just open up the Asus AURA app that comes pre-installed and in the top right corner there's a on-off switch. If it's switched to "off" the lights won't even turn on during startup, or ever. Until you switch it back to "ON" they should never be on.
