If you plan to upgrade the video card down the line then there is no hard in owning a 144hz monitor, however, if you plan to keep the Pc stock for a long time then keep in mind the video card equipped in this PC will not be pushing high frame rates above 60 FPS with out dropping the graphical settings lower.
